In 1995 after almost 20 years in the tourism industry, this “hands-on” woman made her dream come true: to build a hotel near one of the most beautiful places of Costa Rica; Tortuguero. It started with 12 rooms. It has 80 now.

This professional of tourism started in the industry in 1976 in the travel agency Pam Tourism in New York.  She returned to Costa Rica in 1985and joined the corporation of tourism as general manager, position that she left to realize her dream.

In 1997, she inaugurated another inn, this one of 30 rooms, also in Tortuguero but, specializing in ecotourism and tourism of adventure designed for tourists of mid-socioeconomic profile.

Besides, she developed the Canopy Tour that allows the tourist to experience the exuberance of nature in the intermediate and superior layers of the Tortuguero forest.

Her efforts and dedication plus the support of her family and a large group of supporters made possible the development of products and services beneficial for  the tourist, which has helped to make of Tortuguero one of the most important destinations of the country.
